Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a seasoned Automation Engineer located in Ohio. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead on cutting-edge automation solutions for a critical, long-term project in the Biopharma industry. They will be responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of Rockwell-based systems and will collaborate with other departments to ensure the development and validation of critical biotech systems.Logistics:
- Location: Ohio (100% on-site).
- Project Scope: Long-term capital project involvement in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in automation and qualification activities specifically for the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Mandatory Technical Depth:
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing automation solutions for Allen Bradley / Rockwell systems.
- Direct experience developing and testing PLC programs using Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, and Structured Text.
- Advanced proficiency in Wonderware software (System Platform, InTouch, Historian) and OSI-PI software.
- Commissioning & Validation: Hands-on experience performing automation validation and qualification activities, including FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Documentation: Demonstrated ability to ensure system integrity by authoring and managing the entire life cycle documentation (URS, Risk Assessments, and technical configurations).
- Subject Matter Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, and SCADA systems.
- Test Automation: Proven experience in test automation, including the development and execution of automated test scripts.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and documentation skills with a focus on delivering high-quality, compliant automation solutions.
